Gangwon releases goalkeeper Kim Jung-ho from contract after ‘drunk driving’ arrest

Gangwon FC has terminated the contract of goalkeeper Kim Jung-ho, who was caught driving under the influence.

Kim was arrested for drunk driving on the 10th, and Gangwon immediately informed the KFA. The KFA suspended him for 60 days. A formal federation-wide disciplinary action against Kim was to be decided through the penalty committee, but the committee will not be held due to the termination of his contract.

Previously, FC Anyang’s Jonatan Moya and Suwon FC Ras were also terminated by their clubs after being caught drunk driving.
