Manchester United “legend” Gary Neville has admitted that he was completely wrong about Son Heung-min (Tottenham).
Speaking live on Sky Sports TV during the Tottenham vs. Chelsea match on Sunday (July 7), Neville said that he thought Son was done for, but that he seems to have been rejuvenated after switching to center forward. 캡틴토토 도메인
“It’s amazing how well he’s playing as a center-forward, to be honest, when I saw him a few years ago I thought he was done, (but) he’s rejuvenated, he’s back to his best, he’s thriving in a central role,” Neville said.
“Even with nine men, Son was still a threat,” TBR concluded.
Tottenham came from behind to beat Chelsea 1-4 on the day. Dejan Kuluczewski opened the scoring, but Christian Romero and Destiny Udoji were sent off, leaving them with nine men. Mickey van der Penn and James Maddison had to be substituted due to injury.
Son Heung-min was also a liability in this situation. But Tottenham played attacking soccer until the end, including raising their defensive line.
